Transition Support
Chesswood have a well-established transition support programme to ensure children are well prepared and confident for the next phase of their learning journey. Whilst things will look slightly different this year, we will still maintain our high levels of transition support to make the change from infant to junior school a comfortable and successful one.

The Bright Sparks Community Code is the foundation for guiding the behaviour and positive actions of all members of the school community. The politeness and manners of all within the school community are expected to be key features that allow all to feel welcome and belong to a happy community – Show Courtesy, Care and Kindness – all of the time.
To help our new starters understand what the code means for them, we have created a very child friendly social story that can be downloaded at the bottom of this page.
